June 5, 2010 – Tornados ripped through central Illinois causing millions of dollars in property damage in the community of Streator, IL. On June 7, 2010 TC3 received a call to respond to the Community Players Theatre to employ its disaster recovery management services. Upon arrival TC3 with the approval of the insurance carrier secured the site with safety fence and immediately employed WJE engineering to perform a structural analysis of the crumpled building. At the direction of WJE, TC3 began shoring the building through the local construction company of Vessering Construction.

Once the building was shored, TC3 retained Servpro to capture the hundreds of costumes and salvageable contents and electronics. Once content recovery was underway, TC3 began to develop an extensive scope of loss backed up by formal engineering reports and drawings by WJE along with a hazardous materials survey.

Once the final scope of loss is completed and approved by the insurance carrier and policyholder, TC3 will then develop bid packages and let the bid packages out for local contractor bidding. Once the bids are received and analyzed, TC3 will recommend to the policyholder and insurance carrier of the most responsible contractor for final repairs.
